I was recently sent the new Iman BB Cream to try out and despite the hype that came with BB Creams a while back I actually never got to try them before so I was glad to test this one out. For those of you who are not aware BB Creams aka Blemish Balm or Beauty Balm are an all in one beauty product that combines moisture, coverage and sunscreen together. The Iman BB cream comes in a range of 6 shades for women of colour, specifically for tan, olive and brown complexions. The available shades are Sand Light, Sand Medium, Clay Medium, Clay Medium-Deep, Earth Medium and Earth Deep.

I found the Iman BB cream reminded me of a tinted moisturiser but with a lot more coverage to it without being heavy on my skin. I also love that it contains SPF in it as I have very sensitive/sun intolerant skin I tend to always go for products with SPF in them already. As I am not a fan of wearing foundation everyday or heavy coverage foundation I was happy with this BB cream as it provided enough coverage without the feeling of wearing too much make up. It provided enough moisture to my skin to not warrant needing to wear a moisturiser but because I have very oily skin I had to wear it with a primer and blot powder to keep my skin from looking oily throughout the course of the day. The Earth Medium shade is a perfect match for me and for comparison reasons I am a NC50 shade in MAC foundations. After wearing the Iman BB cream I would definitely recommend it, especially for brown to dark skinned women who have found it hard to find BB creams for our complexion.
