This post is a little overdue but here it is.
My friend and I went on holiday to Cancun, Mexico last month and we had a blast!!! The holiday came at a time when I most needed it and I couldn’t have been happier to get a break from everyday life to be laying on a beach drinking cocktails (even if it was only for 10 days).
Cancun is a beautiful place and being located off the Caribbean sea meant we had the privileges of beautiful white beaches, blue seas and sweltering tropical weather. (even a mini tropical storm when we first arrived lol). Despite my initial perception that Cancun was just a holiday destination for party goers there were actually a lot of families and young couples (even a few weddings at our hotel). We stayed at an all inclusive hotel which which meant food and cocktails were on tap whenever we wanted. I loved the fact that I could lay on a lounger on the beach and have someone bring me a cocktail whenever I wanted it 🙂
Here are some pics from my hol that I want to share:

Chichen Itza – Mayan temple ruins. I really enjoyed this excursion despite the fact that it took 3 hours to get there and the sun was extremely intense that day, I learnt a lot about the Mayan culture and how they lived. I love learning about Ancient civilisation & cultures.
Cenote – Underground cave used by the Mayans for their rituals. We were allowed to swim but I got as far as putting my toes in the water as the water was FREEZING!!
The infamous Senor Frogs. Evidence of ur brawl crawl – 1 night, 4 clubs & an open bar 😉
Outfit: Dress – Primark, Hat – H&M, Beach Bag – Primark
One of the quieter (infinity) pools at the hotel. I needed to be in the shade away from the sweltering heat and also from burning.

Off to dinner on our last night.
Outfit: Skirt – Zara, Sheer Back Vest Top – H&M, Clutch – Ebay, Heels – Carvela, Necklace – New Look
Towards the end of our holiday I became so black (tanned) including my lips lol. I love the sun but this holiday made me realise I dont do well in the heat and I was always trying to find the shade wherever we went. I really wish I was still in Cancun but hey! I guess we all have to get back to reality. I can’t wait to book my next holiday now 😉
